Reproduction and Fertility. Part I

The description of the reproductive feminine and masculine systems makes think that pregnancy is a simple thing that just takes that the ovule meets the spermatozoid. However, human reproduction is far from being a simple and efficient process.

The rate of fertility for a couple during a cycle is of 20%, reaching an 85% after 12 months. These indicators vary mainly because of the age of women.

On top of this, there is the fact that around a 25% of pregnancies get lost spontaneously just after conception. A group of them doe not even get to be diagnosed.

It is important to have into account this and stay quiet and avoid any hurry. According to statistics, 9 out of every 10 couples that try to have a baby make it in a year. So, this is not as fast as you may think, but it is probable too that it can happen sooner.
